Dear Colleagues,
We have pleasure in sending you the first
package of information on
CALPHAD XXXIV: AN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON PHASE DIAGRAM CALCULATIONS
AND COMPUTATIONAL THERMOCHEMISTRY,
which will be held in
MAASTRICHT, THE NETHERLANDS - MAY 22 - 27, 2005.
About the RANGE of SUBJECTS:
In addition to
the traditional Calphad topics, special attention will be given to phase
behaviour at high pressure - a theme which is of geophysical relevance. As
regards materials, and depending on the proposals submitted, we intend to
include sessions on polymers, and nuclear materials. And notwithstanding
the drift of the extended title, we will give a warm welcome to
contributions on experimental matters.
Please, give careful attention to the
DEADLINES - which are, running back in time:
-
APRIL 15, 2005 deadline for registration;
-
MARCH 1st, 2005 deadline for submission
of abstracts;
-
DECEMBER 15, 2004 deadline for expressing
your wish to:
-
present a paper (oral
presentation/poster);
-
payment at reduced rate;
-
expressing your wish to share your room
with a colleague participant.
In terms of PRICES , the amounts are the
following, expressed in Euro:
-
975.00 conference fee at reduced rate;
valid until December 15, 2004;
-
1100.00 conference fee in case of payment
after December 15, 2004, but not later than April 15, 2005;
-
850.00 conference fee when sharing a room
(option available until December 15, 2004);
-
675.00 conference fee for participants
who are taking care themselves of sleeping accommodation;
-
675.00 extra for accompanying guest.
Please note that the fee includes lodging and
full board, unless stated otherwise.
The collection of money, which will be by credit card payment, will be
taken care of by the Conference Office of Utrecht University.
